Plumbed-in water coolers are exactly that: they filter water straight from the mains supply. When choosing a water cooler for your office your choice is between a plumbed-in cooler and a bottled water cooler. So which is best for your workplace?
Firstly, consider how much use your water cooler will get. A bottled water cooler needs to be refilled which takes time. In a smaller office they’re great, but for a high-use water cooler it is best to save everyone’s time by having it plumbed in. Plumbed-in water coolers themselves have two sizes – small and large. The general rule of thumb is that offices with up to twelve staff members will find the small size sufficient, and offices with over twelve staff members should opt for the large model.
Plumbed-in water coolers also have the option of two taps – a hot water and cold/room-temperature water. If the staff in your workplace drink a lot of coffee, tea, or other hot drinks, the option of the hot water can be a deciding factor.
